Can someone explain to me the benefit of keeping any operations in the KC. Most insurance companies are based in Hartford CT and SS&C is based between two major financial centers in the US in New York and Boston. Most of the activity in the businesses SS&C just bought go through the north east. What do we in KC provide to SS&C that they can’t get on the east coast?

SS&C also want to get into healthcare and DST Pharmacy Solutions is in KC and some DST health Solutions as well. Also other competing companies to DST Pharmacy Solutions is in KC such as Express Scripts, United health, Optum RX, CVS/Caremark
They just need a less expensive city, Providence checks all the boxes. Inexpensive, cheap housing and acces to a ton of university Talent.
cheaper to run it in a less expensive state. Housing costs are lower, employees are paid far less that east coast salaries. Almost every big company has smaller 'operations" centers in less expensive states, that is business 101.
This is not exactly true. Real estate in places like Worcester and Providence are 1/3 they are in Boston or Hartford. Labor cost in New Hampshire and Maine are lower than KC.
Cheaper costs - period.
Maybe lower costs of labor, real estate, & other things in KC vs. north east?
