Barring someone doing something terribly wrong, do you think the execs leaving knew they needed to get out sooner due to collapse or something similar?

It’s a realization that Noble is a subpar company. Most of the people who leave will do much better elsewhere. I don’t know anyone who would work for Noble. They have no chance of recruiting and keeping experienced quality people. You can’t act like a-holes in a downturn and expect all to be good when things improve. People remember that Noble was the worst of the worst during the downtown. No one wants to work there. I left Noble...now pay my is 25% better, bonuses are better, matching is better, vacation is better, morale is better. Everything is better.
No indea how many actually left on their own. I can only think of one who now runs a company but I think he left because he didn't think he would ever get the opportunity at Noble. I think most of these guys hang on as long as they can and eventually a situation occurs and they end up "resigning / retiring" with a very significant payday.
