In hindsight, how would you rate his tenure OP?
Sadly, besides supposedly cutting $650 million in unnecessary costs, he failed in turning the business around. The big product launches, Hot Wheels id and gender-bender dolls were met with muted enthusiasm from consumers. The stock price is now at under $7.50, down from a high of over $15 when he look over as CEO back in April, 2018. None of his movies ever even started production as far as anyone can tell. And he failed to sell the company, which he strongly implied was his ultimate goal as CEO.

What will his legacy be?

What is he finally planning with Mattel in the last days of his contract?

To new leadership of Ynot,, you will be given a chance, just do not pay homeage to your predicessors, they have dug a hole that looks to be a grave. Acknowlegge the situation truthfully, no buzz phrases, just hard work in new areas that will hopefully help. There are still execs that need to go, don’t be shy, shyness in Mattel situation will lead further to ruin. Employees were n NYC and Wilmott WI have already paid the price for poor leadership.

OP here, to be honest, and I want to be fair to the guy, I have no idea if the guy's a Trump supporter or not, but he just doesn't strike me as though he was Probabaly a big Bernie fan, am I right?

Amen! I like that he’s a Trump supporter. So great. We should now get some really cool red ball caps printed up saying MAKE MATTEL GREAT AGAIN. What a wonderful idea to promote the new Mattel. Then maybe hold a rally in support of our new leader at the park across from the high school in old town El Segundo. Maybe march in unity as we carry tiki torches and chant uplifting slogans for our cause. I think we better leave out the one they chanted back in Charlotte though, given who our new hire is. That one might not go over too well. But then there are some good people amongst us even if we did, you know. Maybe “Hasbro will not replace us!” would be a good rallying cry. Well, I guess they have already replaced us in a sense so maybe we scratch that one. Damn, what are we going to chant??!

MGO was a total disaster. A result of the Board shooting for the politically right thing to do. Bring in a women, PR it. Make this a story for the public. Well, who cares about gender. Let’s focus on performance and accountability. That is what counts. Not the split between men and women. Hopefully Ynon will next clean up the unspectacular crew of management hired by MGO. It seems like he will do it.
