To the OP....I bet you are fun at parties. What I would do just to sit and listen to you rave ALL about Kmart.

Then we could chat all about how it's only a matter of time before BlockBuster, Woolworths, Montgomery Wards and Sports Authority all come back strong.

@tay because people didn't support the stores by shopping there? Because as much as people complain about the cost of living and low wages, they are unwilling to try and save money like they could at Kmart? Perhaps people used to be able to survive on minimum wage because they used to be more willing to shop around and use coupons? These days people complain that things costs too much, but when shown how they can save 50% by shopping at Kmart they say the stores aren't nice enough and the points system is too much bother. Seems that people are wanting to pay an extra $25 for the ambience of Walmart.

I think it would be absolutely fantastic if Kmart and Sears could make a miraculous comeback..... Sadly though I believe they're just too far gone at this point. Good luck to everyone still employed at Sears or Kmart and God bless those customers who still patronize them.

@ylz, I can understand that you wouldn't want to drive 3 or 4 hours, that's understandable. I've looked at Kmart online and their prices are good, free shipping on certain orders, and can even see whether the items are Sears or Kmart.

It's not that I think Sears Holdings is "too big to fail", it's simply belief that with 363 Kmart's and the company stabilizing with profit and with the clear price advantage that with advertising that highlighted the price advantage of Kmart over Walmart and Target, that Kmart could be a real hit. While Kmart exists the potential exists. Don't give up until it's over. Americans don't quit and never stop trying to win. In that sense a comeback Kmart is the company you don't want to bet against and isn't that the story of America, the underdog who you don't bet against?

Please make it stop! Kmart is not "present" to a majority of Americans. Most Americans would probably have to drive in excess of 100 miles to even visit a physical store and the disaster that is Kmart online would certainly scare any internet customers away. Kmart online s---s....Look at Consumer Affairs and see how much of a nightmare Kmart online is to deal with.

Fewer stores and a complete meltdown of Kmart online is only going to make their "presence" even weaker. I appreciate that their are folks who want to be optimistic and so forth, but your message is going to fall on deaf ears when many, many people have no Kmart to shop at anymore. IF there was a Kmart remotely close to me perhaps I would go check it out and show some financial support. All the Kmarts around me closed several years ago....I would have to drive at least 3 or 4 hours away to go to a physical Kmart and those stores look like they are on death's door from the reviews they have.

It seems a lot of people think Kmart and Sears are "too big to fail", but I have some bad news for you sunshine......
