Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

The managers and directors in Avaya Pune really have no work to do other than techathon/hackathon which brings nothing than few ideas which can anyways be brought by product management and delivered as product in small timeframe. I hope that the new management realises this mistake of paying heavy monies to these positions in Pune and align the reportees with the actual business owners bringing more transparency in performance.

Lol yeah. All the managers that I communicated with in India specifically, are just BS. No spark. Conduct these events to get some ideas, which is good. But then these morons judge the ideas and all they need to hear is just words... AI, ML, block chain... There's no architect who understands cloud here or ML. Haven't upgraded themselves nor do they have the skills.

Agree as manager, Sr.manager, director level people have not acquired any skills like cloud, Lean where they can lead from front to 20 level and below. So obviously only work they can do is conduct such events. I heard they acquiring skills of interior decorator this year :) ha ha ha
