Thread regarding IBM layoffs

@2ypa - yes, the poster is restating, and is preaching to the converted on this forum. The media has been distracted for too long by the smoke screen of IBM accounting. Recently (seekingalpha) quoted the moaning and groaning in this forum, and more recently media has reported age discrimination. What is missing is for shareholders to take notice that IBM bigwigs seek fat bonuses and pensions at the expense of the collective good.

To say nothing is defeatist.

Repeat something enough times so that it burns into the collective subconscious of the minds that see all and tell all. Give them the story from ringside seats.

@1gpl you are one of many people who think IBM execs can be shamed into doing the right thing if only people would write and other people would read. This has already been written countless times and no one cares.

Perhaps if Dave had received more sux in his youth, he wouldn't have been such a frustrated and annoying c--- in later life.

We need more analysts like this one to call share holders to act. IBM Mgmt will need to react, and darned quickly.

The root cause of this is the bureaucratic and bloated executive management system that drains productivity by excessive rewards to its top 3500 execs and slows the decision making process to market. In the part this same mgt system has failed to compete with more nimble competitors due to its size and complexity.

Streamline the exec mgt system and stock with product oriented Nadella like execs and abandon the enterprise only mission and watch IBM fly again.................

You seem to be new to this board. We get at least a couple of folks every week who ask here: "Why are the most senior levels of IBM not being removed for non-performance instead of dumping effective employees" - Nobody has an answer to this...
