New law in Poland means that no Polish staff must work on Sundays. Currently 2 Sundays per month but will be all Sundays in 2020. Groups with Polish teams in 24x7 on call rotation will need someone else for Sunday on call when they switch to legal 24x6 coverage. In case of a P0 or P1 on a Sunday in the future it will be essential for senior team members to not be located in Poland as outages don't care what day of the week they require senior assistance. Poland can now only safely be used for 9 to 5 junior developer resources not anything needing 24x7.

This law applies to people working in shops, supermarkets, etc. Generally trade. So... Nah.
how about why because outside health insurance for us cost two thousand dollars a month
thats why
Oncalls are paid extra in POL, MVD, and BLR. Usually a flat bonus atop of the OT generated during the time you were engaged. Why would you work for free?
On call is MVD gets extra paid. Who would work for free outside his shift?
I'm on call every other week and have been for years. No extra pay just a 'why did it take you 7 minutes to respond?'. They don't care if I'm driving, or in the bathroom.
Hope this will save some jobs in US. Anyway we all work everyday.
Pure BS. New law affects only shops that hire some one else than just an owner. Those have to be closed on Sundays. It does not affect anything that is not related to pure shop-commerce. Please verify before posting BS like that one.
Wow, KRK gets paid extra when they are on call? DFW gets no extra money when they are on call. Does anyone else get extra money when they are on call?
There is a fine of 100,000 zlotys for working on Sundays.
BS. It’s the same as with Bank Holidays. If you have on call duty you will get extra money if you’re engaged. If you work in shifts you can also work eg in support departments
