If you look at Penny's or Best Buy you'll see they updated the look of the stores...They are investing in their future. While the majority of Sears stores barely get leaking roofing fixed. Words don't get results...only action does. Hairbrain ideas like "Clean and Bright" which forced employees to become the remodeling contractors are an example of his unwillingness to revamp and restore the company into a viable retailer. Go into a Kohls and you'll see why their parking lot is full.

The Remodels for Sears Canada started way too late for the company to afford it... Same thing for SHLD too IMO
I don’t agree. The remodels bankrupted Sears Canada partway thru. We need better product.
Our cracked, broken tiles and peeling paint are really clean!!

Haven't been in Penney's for quite a while... If the updated look pertains to the crap they started in 2012 or before, prior to my losing my job with them in 2012 because the company was trying to die... Uh, yeah, that remodeling idea (spawned by that CEO that was the former Apple guy who almost killed Penney's by stupidly thinking he could remake run it like an Apple store) was not going over well. Maybe people like it more now, I dunno, but it wasn't doing Penney's any favors back then.
Who's whining ? But your statement that "He can do what it as he pleases" is quite an arrogant and cavalier attitude toward others...the people who spent their lifetime pridefully representing sears. They deserve respect and honestly...
Look at it as a great opportunity you can put on your resume remodeling contractor
