Thread regarding Sears layoffs

New districts

My Kmart store had been consolidated into a new district that covers more space. We received the list of stores in our district today and it has stores in categories such as P2P, reset, top 50, etc. I can figure out what top 50 means, but I have no Idea what reset or p2p is. By the way, my store falls under P2P.

Do the PEIT (Profit Enchacement Initiative Test) and Extreme PEIT stores still exist?

A Sears near me is a Focus Store. No one there knows what it means but the manager ran away. It was designated as such 2 years ago and it doesn't do well sales wise. The kicker is that it is still open and another more profitable Sears in the same area is going to close during the current round. We are a densely populated area so have multiple locations of most retail.

Both Sears mentioned above are in successful malls so it's not a question of the closing store being more able to be rented out.

So you never know ...

P2p= path to profitability. It means your store is not profitable and will have significant labor cuts and other expense cuts to try to cut their way to profit. Most likely your store will close sooner rather than later.

Might as well. Merge a sh-- ton of districts since they are not many Kmarts left in certain parts of the country.
