Thread regarding CVS layoffs

March/April layoffs at CVS

Despite these tax savings, 2018 payouts for 2017 performance will be below last year’s level. Additionally there will be more layoffs in the April/May timeframe. Look for an extra 400-500 cuts.

Anybody knows more about this? Is it true and if it is, where will the cuts be from?

I am under the belief they will be eliminating the Operations Manager positions like many other boxes.

We all know that CVS is a horrible place to go shopping and working. Specially in the pharmacy. CVS based their character in numbers not custumer service, for example if you go and try to put in a prescription you might wait one hour or two. The same goes for pick up. Like I said they based their service for the collective, which is a communist way of looking at business, because they sacrifice your customer service! Now the layoffs hit hard Canoga Park & Cerritos. They had to fire more than half of their staff.

I don't know about you as SM's, however, I am a little bit tired of explaining why we do things, to a RX Leader, who doesn't know a damn thing about F/S operations!

What do you think?

So I am a little confused. Are F/S managers going to be working for Target, or CVS?

The new DLs would be offered positions with target to oversee the mass number of stores that target would be acquiring

Though creative and would make some sense, that cannot be true. The amount of time and money that is being spent to catch up former RXSUPVs on cash handling, CFR, merchandising, etc... simply says that there are no plans to let Target acquire the FS. As I type this, I do think there will be a bigger partnership with Target especially with next day delivery rolling out to all 9,700 stores in April.

Target will acquire the fs.managers will be put into the same data base the dms were to spit out the worst performing. Stores making 35,000 plus will have 1 store manager stores making less will go to 1 manager per 2 stores.
