WFR W-2 HPES/DXC - Another Question

I was WFRd in June of 2017. I've received a W-2 from HP Enterprise Services; none yet from DXC Technology. I don't suppose anybody knows whether I should get a W-2 from DXC or where I would begin any efforts at contacting DXC payroll about this?

CSC had hundreds of wholly owned subsidiaries from acquisitions. Those people by and large didn't get CSC contracts and the legal entities carried on - some to this day.

DXC very likely will not magically merge all of these pieces together into one big single entity. Not organisationally, not financially, not service delivery, not infrastructure. Too much money to achieve it and too little perceived benefit from doing so.

The only bits that will change and already have are how the finances from the subsidiaries roll up to DXC Corp.

You will get only ES W2. Merger is in the name only as of today.

I just compared my HP ES W2 to my final pay statement that includes a few weeks of DXC plus the severance paid out. ES and CSC payroll systems were separate for a while long after I was laid off.

Does the income for the W2 equal the combined income you made as an HPE employee for January-March and as a DXC employee April-June. If so then you are probably only getting the one W2.

If you look at an paycheck stub from April-June it probably says HPE. I was CSC January-March of 2017 and DXC April-December 2017 and my W2 shows income is for the entire year. My paycheck still shows Computer Sciences Corporation.

Merging the companies is in name only for some things. Payroll will still be "separate" for some time yet.
