Let go day after Sharing a serious medical diagnosis with management

This place is amongst the worst of the worst! No conscience whatsoever. I shared a serious medical diagnosis, devastated and in tears, to my newly assigned boss on a Thursday only to have him blow off a scheduled meeting with me on Friday and them call me with HR and fire me on Monday morning with no severence. Their only concern was for the possibility I may have gone out on disability, which I had no intention of doing, and lazy do nothing poor excuse of a manager didn't want to carry my sales quota...everyone is in constant fear of losing their jobs or doors being locked in the morning...it's a pathetic and sad organization with zero leadership and amazing they are still open for business. They must think clients are idiots...truth is no reputable enterprise client wants to associate themselves with these losers and now don't blame them and I completely understand first hand why! I feel having been associated with this company may have called into question my own integrity and reputation so my departure was truly a blessing in disguise.

Lets be honest with your post here. I know who you are and why you were fired. Here 2 years and not one sale except for one that was handed to you by management. That was the simple reason you were fired, not a medical issue. In my and everyone's opinion in our office you should have been let go long ago. No interaction with your fellow office workers and the sense of entitlement and lack of knowledge of both what we sold and how our systems work was staggering.

Your manager must be a real hole in the a-- to lay you off after disclosing your medical condition. This company's middle management layer is full of holes in the a--. They can't sell these effin solutions neither. So they hide behind the sales reps' futile attempts at selling a solution that is nothing but a commodity that's back by our crappy reputation. How many rounds of Musical Chairs can Senior Executives play before the Board finally realizes that this company is a loser run by losers? What's our Stock Price, $1.53 per share. Hell, what you will spend on a month's worth lunches at McDonalds would probably make you a major stock holder at this sht show of a company. As soon as I find a safe place to land, I'm out of this motherfcker.

Rule of thumb. Never share personal or health issues with your employer, regardless of where you work.

@1und lol. just think, you may have been the hired numbnuts with gutter skillset that replaced someone else.

But seriously. WS is full of talented and skilled people, in my many years and different positions I had the opportunity to work with people all over the company, so I may have a different perspective than some.

Some of us stay because there aren't many employment opportunities where we live. As much as we may hate it sometimes it is a decent living.

I often wonder if my medical thing added me to a lay off round last year. But, hey I'm better today. As you know and will prove over and over life is so much better on this side.

Wishing you the best.
