Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

QUESTION: What happens to monitored members after HCM-RN is laid-off?

Does anyone know where these members go? I Haven't received any monitored members transferred to my roster. We were told that it is better to move these members to monitored rather than Non-managed, but after I am gone what will happen to these members? Was this just a lie to reduce the numbers of members in the program and thus HCMs?

Yeah, they don’t care. Unless these people are costing them money with an inpatient admit, they can’t be bothered. Make no mistake, it’s all about the money.

Op I dont think they care what happens to them. It is so sad too cause mbrs have gotten close with their nirses or phc’s and now they are just dumped

What happens to those monitored members who do try to call their HCM that is no longer there? Another HCM will have to take that member over and explain the change.....again. These members are already upset with all the changes of HCM to HCM to PHC to HCM. Humana is not doing a good job in developing those trusting relationships, or building rapport that was so pound into our beings during orientation.

They will stay in a bucket and if they have an alert of some sort the triage team will call them. If they need to go back to managed then they will be assigned to someone.

My understanding was they would go into a queue and be left there unless they either called in or had an alert, then they would be assigned to someone.
