And now the rumors of Dell Technologies being acquired by VMWare. What a goat rodeo.
Silverlake wants out of Dell, just like Elliott Management got out of EMC.
Dell will be cleaning house big time before the IPO! Get ready for the carnage.
They may also sell their majority share of VMWare but an IPO is the only way to get totally out. We saw Friday what wall street thought of the ideas.
PIvitol would only fetch at most 5 billion. Dell EMC has nothing else close to that value. The only path to paying off Silverlale is through an IPO. If the board chooses that path, layoffs will only accelerate to window dress this pig for potential shareholders.
Silverlake wants out. The only way to buy them out of their investment is to divest some of the businesses for cash or to IPO. Silverlake not dumb, they see this as a sinking ship.
How is this going to help? EMC stock did nothing but sag for the lat several years.
MD used to extol the virtues of being private, what happened all of a sudden? Too much debt?
If public ownership can make Michael transparent and start to refocus on what made him successful, then this would be good...and stupid purchases like EMC would be evaluated with appropriate due diligence and not just seen as a trophy wife.
Cloud got the best of em'.. Dump Dell&EMC and run. Looks like the sewer line runs from Round Rock to Wall Street...
Wallstreet does not like the rumors of IPO's and more mergers. DVMT off as much as $10/share today. Way to add value M Dell!!!
Dell is old news.
Somebody wants their money back, and the penthouse purchase set someone back a few mil.
Yeah loot the public to pay for Dell's foolish decision of buying EMC
very foolish. dell and emc - dumb and dumber
Yeah loot the public to pay for Dell's foolish decision of buying EMC
I guess the plan is to use public money to pay off debt.
