Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

Tax Savings and Sabre

Apple, ATT, Southwest and many other companies are giving $1000-$3,000 bonuses to their employees. JP Morgan Chase is giving 22,000 employees a 10% RAISE.

Sabre: has an exec write a diatribe on here about how smart Sabre already is with tax savings so they get no benefit. "Just be glad you still have a f---ing job" mentality.

What a load of crap this is.

if a company offered a signing bonus equal to the sabre severance then only a fool would pass that up

if you are that valuable and the new gig falls through then sabre will offer you your seniority, severance and a raise if you to return

look in the dictionary for the definition of no brainer and you see this

Dear @RodS37Y-1fhc: I have gathered from the many comments on this Sabre Layoff Page a theme that stems from the Sabre executive/leadership betrayal of trust and transparency and their self serving gain through deception. The conflict comes from the years of Sabre touting the cool tech leadership dejour philosophy when they were a public company. It was all PR BS. From the servant leadership to employee transparency, and diversity-of-thought and culture....all BS. It was a facade so they could appear to be cool. But the previous AA engrained culture of passive aggressive executive leadership did not wane at Sabre....not even close. So the employees who drank the "punch" all fof these years are owed something: Honesty, professionalism, timely transparency, and a severance for their years of dedication. Today, Sabre's competition, airline customers, and consortiums, know this better than Sabre does right now. Could they...would they...are they silently poaching all the top talent now with the incentive of giving them their Sabre severance today as a sign-on bonus? Is there a secret group of "high performers" and executives who are not making any noise today, agreeing and nodding yes to the Company and executives daily charter; then silently plotting their exits together? Watch. You'll see the smart employees quickly and quietly leave and the unhappy short-term and scared long-term employees struggle and complain indignation and unfair treatment. This executive team might consider retiring after Sabre, because their professional reputation might just be ruined. Forever.

Highly recommended those who want stability and position that you can count on a constant paycheck to look for employment elsewhere. The overall environment at Sabre is toxic and the future is bleak. Yes there are companies that practice good ethics and reward those who contribute. Questionable management decisions is a issue and until the truth be revealed no one has stability. Run while you can, otherwise walk out with the next downsize to save exec’s necks.

You can always go work for someone that will give you a one-time $1000 bonus. No one is holding you hostage at Sabre and no one says a company MUST give out a bonus.

I see so many unhappy people comment here. If you’re that’s unhappy why not just move on to all the better organizations out there instead of being miserable every day because of your job?

Sabre is getting a tax break as well just like the other US corporations.

Only difference is that the tax break is being split among the executives and the rest of the employees will not get any portion of it.

This is the Sabre Way
