I have seen several post on here that the only changes were on commissions. That is not the case in our district. There were several changes that will take place. The managers were told they would be there until 5:30 PM. They were told to dress casually because they would not be going back to the stores

No way anyone would direct you to an outside source for information...
No commission increases for us. We are converting to simple store. Will begin with a full remodel and downsizing, losing our second floor. Heavy focus on internet ordering. - store will essentially be an internet showroom. ASM’s staying some FT positions being cut. Freeze on AP hiring, possible reduction later since inventory will be “simpler”.

They announced commission increases in our district. Appliances to be moved to near main entrance. Huge push for sales increase. Prep for Presidents’ Day blowout discussed. SGM’s expected to sell in appliances minimum 8 hours per week with an expected sales quota. Pilot program of back end person to handle F&I and maintenance contract sales exclusively. Will be a major push on financing to generate additional revenue. New commission structure for this position and split with primary sales associate. Order takers will be removed, only sales people will continue to be employed. Metrics look high but doable.
For many stores it would be more abnormal to see the Sgm on the sales floor or in a cash wrap. Then I would know something is up
If you see the SGM locked in his office with the door shut all day after returning from the meeting, it will only intensify the "what's gonna happen" mood ....
