You can't have positive comps when you're running the stores with no help. Customer service is terrible at Advance stores. Kinda reminds you of Walmart 30 cash registers and 4 open. Advance you deserve to fail unless you change and put your employees ahead of stockholders but the greedy idiots running this company don't have that much sense. And you bunch of yes men DM'S won't even stand up for your employees I hope you all fail!

Not to pretty ! This is what you get from poor upper management decisions and as stated the trend is not likely to improve!

The simple truth is Advance fails to properly service the customer, walk in and commercial customers suffer from bad decisions made at the corporate level as they seem to feel the shareholders are most important. Because of the stupidity sales are dropping, so that means comps are dropping and this in turn reflects on the share price. Economics 101, service the dam customer.

"AAP hasn’t seen a full year with an above-zero comp since 2014 and before that, 2011. In other words, suggesting that weather and short term disruptions are to blame for weak comps seems odd to me. AAP has a longer term demand issue that it has been unable to cope with and these reasons don’t sound like anything more than convenient ways to explain it away. It is true that AAP is in the midst of a transformation in how its business is structured but why is that hurting comps? AAP is reducing carried inventory and keeping more pricing discipline and while those things are noble goals, if they come at the expense of comps – which are weak anyway – are they the right things to do? I’m way past done when it comes to companies blaming the weather for their woes and the weather is mentioned multiple times in the passage above. It just sounds like an excuse."
