I am almost certain I will be in the lay off and will not be disappointed. I intend to leave regardless. However, I wish they would accept volunteers so that some could keep their positions that want and need them. I also want to add that I am appalled at all of the bashing of one another on this site and the snarky comments. Thinking of you all, especially the PHCs.
Anytime doll. We all scared and looking for clues and signs and trends. In the end we'll find out when we find out and one way or another we'll all be okay. Lots of love to my humana brothers and sisters.
😂. Thanks for clearing that up.
Comparing all the data I've determined that it will be either larger or smaller than anticipated. PTO/upto/benefits/wages will or will not be a factor. Geography and licensure is or is not a factor. There may or may not be future layoffs. And its either performance or popularity. I'm glad we've cleared it all up. Lmao.
I will be happy to stay, but not surprised to be rif. I hit goals, but rarely go above. I do a tremendous amount of support calls and sadly that does not show in metrics (other than helping tt). I did take several upto d/t kids sick, myself being sick. I think maybe 3-4 days over last 6 months. Good luck everyone!
BOO YA! And the mic drop exiting honor goes to the MBA!
I have a MBA. Do you, previous poster? I am also in a position to know the criteria. UPTO is taken into account but salary and benefits are not. So, I would advise you to stop spreading false stories.
Cost is a factor, overreacting one. Take a business class.
Oh for the love of God poster below! Since I am in a position to know the factors I can say your cost to the company makes little difference. I can assume you were RIFd and this is what you are telling yourself rather than face facts. Whatever helps you sleep
Productivity , seniority, reviews have nothing to do with layoffs. Strictly how much you cost them
HCM RN here. Just wanted to say that I love our HCM SS, and PHCs. I don’t know what we will do without them.
I received 3 STAR awards, met my metrics, did special projects and exceeded expectations. I rarely was out of the office, never used my health insurance for major medical and joined think tanks, etc. I was laid off in Nov. I made 50K. It does not matter... they are closing the division.
And so starts the hcmss bashing
Hcmss have 4 years of college, 3 years of grad school, and if licensed, 2 years of supervision and state mandated testing before they can have the letters lcsw after their names....the hcmss have more education and skills just entering the field than most other fields, and the humana hcmss all have years of experience. Please. Under worked and overpaid! Social workers are historically the most under paid in health care. We don’t go into this field for the money. I agree with the other poster, what you said was a bit offensive, ignorant and insulting
@2van- as an hcmss, I invite you to spend a day in our headsets, since you can’t walk in our shoes- underworked and overpaid? Do you even know what we can or cannot do, based on rules, regulations and resources? I bust my butt daily, as does every hcmss here at humana. Not sure what your role is, but you are way off, to the point of offensive
70k for SS? Good Lord. That's great for the ones that actually do their job but too often I've encountered situations in which SS did next to nothing. Underworked and overpaid is what most of them are.
No control just tired of the threat always in the background wondering when the next layoff is going to be. Here for two years and two layoffs. If I don't get laid off this round Im darn sure not going to stick around for the next one. Actually if I could volunteer for the layoff and get my severance it would be a blessing. And Yes I am the primary source of income for my family and have a two thousand dollar a month mortgage but am SO tired of the stress just want to move on and put the horrible experience behind me.
The response from @Rm8L7Ov-1bnw makes perfect sense. I also have had FMLA X 2 in 2017 and high medical and pharmacy costs and was not let go through the last 4 layoffs.
70K and up would be my guess.
What is considered a high salary for an HCM?
Posters have made it clear what the evaluation process is. The truth is you don't want it to be that clear you want it to be sinister or at least to appear that way, then when they roach your a--, you can blame the man. Not my fault they fired me for no reason.
Enough of the crap that they are looking at how much you cost the company. That is not how they determine the cuts! I take company insurance, my husband had MAJOR surgery in January last year which was very expensive. I missed a lot of work due to his complications. I also have received tuition reimbursement. I have been with Humana for almost 6 years and make a good salary. I am still here.
Im not sure being an SME ensures safety
I am swamped with new members in my roster. I do not know if this is a good sign or not....probably neither. But I am now back to working 10 hour days because I am afraid of losing my job. I have to keep my score card looking good.... but am also being told that I should take on extra projects such as becoming a SME. This is total madness. Management by Fear.
My thoughts from what I've read here over the last year is that people who hold onto that line of thinking are going to be in for disappointment, just like top performers every other round. And while I wish we could figure it out, I don't think we are going to crack the code. They seem to be tight lipped on the "approved process" that HR uses, and I've worried enough lately thanks to this place. While I don't hold it against anyone who is looking for a glimmer of hope at such a tense time, I'm over wasting my time worrying about something that I'll never know the exact reasoning behind and am just counting on being laid off. If I'm not? Great, but I won't stop applying for positions elsewhere as this has been enough of a roller coaster and I want off. Good luck to everyone.
401k, salary, tuition have NOTHING to do with it!!!!!
High production workers were laid off in November.
Extremely flawed reasoning. Do you use the insurance services? Donyou have a 401K, tuition, is your salary high? They are looking at how much overall YOU are costing them.
