Nice to see the author of that book plugging it here! But there IS a potential movie franchise here, in "Despicable Mat".

Mattel is filled with despicable people and horrific deeds. In any other company, the management team would have been arrested. Read "You don't own me" - the story of the ongoing fight between Mattel and MGA over Bratz. Clearly the book has been released just before the next trial is set to start, but the writer sort of tries to paint a picture that CB (the designer from Mattel that created Bratz) and MGA are the "good guys", and that Mattel is "all evil". The fact, though, is there are no "good guys" in the story - everyone is greedy and KNOWS they are doing things illegally.

Read the book - it paints a picture of how bad the industry is.

yep, I remembered that wrong. However, we were starting to piss Disney off because we were very focused on Barbie and her lack of sales. We did not give Disney the proper attention but, Everafter was indeed the deal breaker, my bad.

I also would love to know what that chair thing was- it was like the girl from the movie ring slithering off...cool I guess

More importantly what was that weird sculpture next to Jill Barad?

Dummy, we lost Disney Princesses because of Ever After, not because of Barbie.

Interesting to me how Barbie has both started and taken down Mattel. 111 million dollars for Heman and then they had to bring Barbie in, equating to a 104 million dollar loss the very next year...fast forward to losing the Disney licence all because we couldn't give it the spotlight it deserved, but instead decided to focus on good ole reliable Barbie. Pathetic

Agreed, a great show for anyone, especially those of us in the business. The next four episodes should be as good.
