Citibank does not want to be in the mortgage business. They sold their servicing last year and are slowly removing themselves as much as possible from mortgage lending, but still making lending products available to their banking clients.
The woman in charge of the mortgage division has run this division into the ground with vast changes that have cost millions of dollars, but amounted to nothing for Citi since she took this position over a year ago.
Citibank lacks direction from management and this year will continue to layoff in O'Fallon, Dallas and Van Buren sites until new management with a clear and concise plan can take over.
