Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

Boy, is this Spot On

Get out before you're cut out. It's way harder to get a job when you're unemployed, even if you're only employed by Seagate.

LOL.

Key words: "was employed there".

Don't know why he was asked to leave. Hmmm.... Might have been his lack of common decency.

The 'everyone is out to get me' syndrom is a key sign as well.

Hope he can get professional help.

If not, I hear WD is taking Seagate flunkies.

7vsr, yes I was employed there. Good to see executives from CO/CA on here. Also, thanks for authenticating my message with they typical libturd response. ...(cannot debate facts, will become grammar police.) I give exactly TWO sh--s what comes typed into my phone here for you to see.

As far as the meth goes, you obviously have taken the bait and called out your bias and hate for OKC assuming everyone from OKC is a hillbilly meth monster. When in fact you occupy a state in which drugs have been legalized to legitimize the weak. Everyone I worked with in OKC were professionals and took pride in their work, good luck with Singapore with an Indian offshore support.

As for draining the swamp, seagate is doing nothing of the sort. The top is filled with crooks, shipping jobs offshore, the stock has a false bottom and will plummet and seagate will die. This may well be the very best year but it certainly is not because of product. Top is riding the benefits of the Trump market and throwing off as many from the boat as they can, only to ride that wave higher.

I only write these thing so others coming here can see the vile behaviour of executives who troll this space and I thank you for doing so for potential future employees (run far away) and past employees you screwed.

Advice to new employees, never ever take a raise to stay. Never take an RSU to stay. You'll lose them both when they throw you overboard. Keep your skills up to date and land in a better place.

Finally, coming back to the position that they are coming back to greatness. If greatness equals the power to buy sucessful organizations and destroy them. If greatness equals talking about releasing technology they know will not work for a decade. If greatness equals offshoring skill for quantity. If greatness equals promoting for eeo checkmarks. If greatness equals a black plague moral. Then Seagate is great and yes headed to greatness. Have a good time with that Captain Asshat.

6cbq, if you are now, or were ever, employed by Seagate, it is no wonder it has taken them so long to come back into greatness.

Draining the swamp is an unpleasant task, but paying a wage to the likes of you is unfathomable.

And your command of the English language could use some work as well.

Have a happy meth filled life. You deserve it.

Seagate is a bucket of sh--. They could, since no new major developments come from them, reduce everything except manufacturing. The good researchers and scientists are gone.

If those dumb cucks in on the front range (must be the weed) continue to think seagate is king and will be around in a few years, it must be primo sh-- they are smoking. But the front range is filled with thansplanted libtard californians with no common sense. It should be no surprise they jump on here to defend their own breeds stupidity.

Good for you, 1qxn.

And well said.

Life is a journey. It's up to the individual to take care of himself and make the best of the situation.

Too many people think just because you land a job after aceing the interview that you should be able to keep the job as long as you want. They forget everyday on the job is almost like another interview.

Companies are looking for new talent everyday. You need to have something that they can't get somewhere else cheaper.

Good luck to you on your journey and god bless.

I was laid off and got a job within 3 months. You are right HDD experience doesn’t get your job, but I showed the skills I gained at Seagate to get my new job. I am using those skills in the new job. I am trying to say that it shouldn’t be a problem and if you stay positive after lay off you would surely land in a very good job better than the one you had already. It’s only the time it takes for this.

It’s hard to get a job with HDD experiences, period. I don’t get why seagate thinks Ripple Lab’s blockchain technology is going to enable HDD either.
