As far as the meth goes, you obviously have taken the bait and called out your bias and hate for OKC assuming everyone from OKC is a hillbilly meth monster. Advice to new employees, never ever take a raise to stay. Never take an RSU to stay. You'll lose them both when they throw you overboard. Keep your skills up to date and land in a better place.

Too many people think just because you land a job after aceing the interview that you should be able to keep the job as long as you want. They forget everyday on the job is almost like another interview.

Companies are looking for new talent everyday. You need to have something that they can't get somewhere else cheaper.

I was laid off and got a job within 3 months. You are right HDD experience doesn’t get your job, but I showed the skills I gained at Seagate to get my new job. I am using those skills in the new job. I am trying to say that it shouldn’t be a problem and if you stay positive after lay off you would surely land in a very good job better than the one you had already. It’s only the time it takes for this.

It’s hard to get a job with HDD experiences, period. I don’t get why seagate thinks Ripple Lab’s blockchain technology is going to enable HDD either.

Looks like senior management or seagates inept HR department feel they need to leave replies to posts criticizing seagate.The truth must hurt.
