It's been a crazy day here, but things are starting to wind down. It feels like the worst is over, at least for now.
Anybody knows if this is it? Has everybody who was supposed to be notified been notified? Or am I starting to relax a little too soon?
I'd like to believe they'd just rip the band-aid off in one move/day, but you never know...
I got cut Jan 23rd in 2017. This was just days after my 5 year anniversary. Cutting costs? They flew my manager down from NY to AR only to have her text me and ask me to come down to an unoccupied office. I know the game and said goodbye to my colleagues before I started the long trek down the hall (before I grabbed everything I could fit in my bag). I didn’t give them the chance to walk me out as I am much faster than my manager and HR rep. She hopped a plane back to NY within a couple of hours. Two weeks later I get my 5 year plaque and boiler plate letter from TT in the mail.
I got cut last January, I got a text from the boss to meet him at office, then right away my ETA que became empty.
At lest some of us don't have 3 kids, and aren't the sole provider for the household. It would s--- if you worked with a company for 9 years and then get dropped on a random Thursday morning. Should I call a lawyer? Seems pretty shady when you get offerered an exit package but are also expected to work for another 2 weeks.
