Saw this in another thread, but it sounds a bit too good to be true. Anybody knows if this is true or just wishful thinking? My father works at Dell and it'd be nice not to have to worry about him all the time.

I wrote that..i was asked 3 months ago if i was interested in severance package and was told only this week i didnt get it..mainly office and managers were impacted.news from management is that all redundancies are complete.its getting busy again and nothing to worry about..was told that a week before they asked us if interest was there for package so i dont think they even know themselves..dont worry a while coz theres loads on the list that want to go but wont get a package as theres no so called budget
