Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Upcoming layoffs

Prior to his departure in December, a supervisor friend of mine spoke of plans for two in January on the typical pay cycle Fridays (12th and 26th). He also stated March was expected to be a "blood-bath". The expected target dates were to be the 9th and 23rd of March, but exact numbers were not discussed.

Found in another thread, wanted to bump up for March info, as I heard a similar thing at the office recently.

"legacy CSC they can’t really push it that far as there is nobody left."

LOL - That is so last year - when DXC made money with people.

This year share price fashion trend is

"What? you're still here - heres your final paycheck, don't care what you do, but you're draining money, so you have to go"

My facility has about 600 people and in December we lost @18 people to WFR. "Blood-Bath" not quite but that a good number of people let go in one fell swoop. Are you going to hear a running total of all the facilities around the world, no of course not. But WFR's are happening on a regular basis at a fairly significant body count.

I don't need grand rhetoric to know that my... our jobs is at risk and I need to take action to ensure my family is taken care of.

They want a blood bath and in some cases it’s happening, but in most cases once they analyse everything they realise they are down to the bones. That’s not stopping them, they are still doing the 7-12% here and there.

legacy CSC they can’t really push it that far as there is nobody left. Legacy HPE is easier to target as they have a larger workforce.

I am the original poster of the "copied" thread (no problem). To answer the specific question, the supervisor friend was referring to the United States. I would need to follow up with my friend for the specific location but he was WFR'd in December. He wouldn't really have a way to follow up and he has other issues to contend with.

One way to narrow down the possible location(s) is to take a look at the jobs.dxc.technology site and filter for Puerto Rico. The jobs they are advertising are literally the jobs DXC expects to export from the US to, in this case, Puerto Rico.

Not an exact science but so far in the last year or so, fairly close.
