Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel’s biggest market shrivels again

6 years of decline, has BK found anything with real growth besides chasing fads?

Servers will take a whallop and the bungle patch shows intel ineptitude.

Samsung is now the leader in silicon

TSMC is number 1 in market cap.

Intel needs new leadership that is really smart and maps strategy and with conviction.

BK is like MS Balmer, BoD needs to give him the ACT and find a new CEO

Oh yeah things would be so much better once Murthy is in charge, right? 😂

Since x86 is a duopoly, INTC will continue to rake in the $$$ for the short term. AMD's ability to exploit Intel's current problems is limited by Global Foundry's capacity. The big threat is industry shifting to ARM because Samsung and TSMC have the financial power to quickly add fabs to meet additional demand. Apple dropping Intel from Macs for internally developed ARM CPU would be telling. Data center operators are all looking at x86 alternatives.

BK is a manufacturing 🤡 he has no clue about silicon technology or what and how to rub a competive foundry business. GF, Samsung and TSMC are giving him a TMG a butt phuck.

The only way they get business is to buy the design house: Infineon, Altera ....

The SEC will respond to the OP, 'Your wish is my command'.

BK did insider trading. $25 million worth of insider trading when he had confidential information regarding the security flaws, the public didn't, and still chose to sell before the stock dropped.

BK will be gone sooner than most think. He will be forced to step down most likely. Before his trial.

Its ironic that BK lost FABs and he is a FAB guy... Honestly when they appointed him I thought strategy would be to start foundry business and that way compensate for losing grounds in PC market...

BKs bench is weak as in most cases not confronted with outside experience in for example product design, in the understanding of business models which result in "sales teams" giving dollars instead of taking dollars.

Monopolistic situation produced people occupying and waiting for positions without meaningful impact.

Just remember what BK said about the wearables market. Idiotic projections, all while still producing seriously flawed chips. Shows you he has no business acumen whatsoever. He should go back to his white lab coat, test tubes and flasks at SJSU. He certainly does not know how to run a company.
