I heard from a reliable source that there was a rebranding coming on February 14th. Is Windstream being bought or merging with another company? If I would have to guess it would with Fromtier. Any thoughts?

Clearing of desks, monitors, keyboards, and phones from our area happened today. Waiting for February 14th, 2018 to see if the contractors will be the first to go or actual employees.
Remember....Windstream purchased Boardview and Mass Communications but MERGED with Eartlink. Purchase versus Merger..there's a difference.....also Windstream is trying to eliminate the legacy companies to a very minimal staff.
Rebranding is just part of the BS game Windstream is playing....the name Windstream s---s in the telecom world...at this point it's the bottom feeder while Frontier and Centurylink have regained some of their dignity Windstream has not! ...what puzzles me more is why the board is allowing this as the stocks can't get above 2 bucks...what's really going on here!! Psychology 101 maybe!!
Telecom is dead. Value now days comes from managed services overtop your connectivity. Cloud based things have great margins. A new name that says we are moving out of dead tech would be great.

Rebranding has been on the table for a while now. That's no rumor or even a secret.
Layne Levine has communicated that several smaller acquisitions will be occurring. We will be acquiring smaller companies outside of the telecom industry.
