February layoffs at CBI

Layoff is in February just a heads up,I know someone that works for the state warn notice issued already for layoff in February. Your welcome

Is this referring to layoffs that have already been announced for February, or is it talking about something new? With CBI, I'm never discounting the possibility of additional layoffs.

Lumnus and the other techno groups have a nasty habit of putting incomplete, unchecked or mis-sized packages on the street with no chance of the units actually working as is.

How is exactly is Lummus the problem? We turn over an engineering package and it up to CBI to overdsesign and fail.

I've seen your complaints about Lummus. Last I checked there were willing buyers aka positive value. The rest of cbi is toxic debt caused by on the job training gone wild.

Lummus is plagued with poor work practices. They were broke when CB&I bought them and they will drag any company down. When you do not respect engineering, hire anyone as a engineer and turn them into clerks, you have a problem.

Engineers should be running the show, not HR, bean counters and crooks. No I am not afraid of work. Just want to do things that make sense. You basically have the uneducated running the show.

You guys complaining about westchase or rogerdale must not like working. As they get all of the jobs you good people are working on. How about gut the woodlands and leave the workers to work and make money. Without the woodlands cbi would be a Fortune 500 company

There are people that are on a furlough and their Warn notice will end in February. Not sure if they will be the only ones on this or if there will be more.

If McDemmot does not gut CB&I Houston (Westchase/Rodgerdale) they will be in the same shape as CB&I is today in five years from now. Unskilled work force (engineering and management) that does not know how to execute a project or treat employees. They only know to cut schedule, corners and beat their employees up. Typical construction mentality.
