Thread regarding Seagate Technology Inc. layoffs

More Engg Layoffs

This is not a rumor, more engineering layoffs are happening (on top of Dec announcement) in US and India...not on a large scale but the fact that all of them are happening in R&D engg teams (who are supposed to develop future products for Seagate). Just proves the situation on ground zero....

Interesting. I am hearing and seeing just the opposite....New hires, promotions, talk of focal increases, and prediction of substantial profit sharing.

"Ground zero". I guess that's another phrase for 'bottom of the food chain'?

Good luck.

Shakopee had some RIFs. Not sure of the total count. Is sad this is becoming the norm.

Based on your source, how many are affected?

Way it progress, the company is consolidating its r&d work at ssdc. The site will be under pressure to crunch out future product.

But isn’t India an acquisition year ago for ssd. And to think they are reducing people there...
