In reference to last reply: PLEASE call HR and DO NOT ASK THAT QUESTION on this forum. Did you get a waiver release? If not CALL HUMAN RESOURCES!
I still haven't received anything from the company in the mail - but I did get a direct deposit for my last week and un-used vacation and personal days. Is that the "severance" everyone is talking about?
It was based on who the Company liked the most.
I did did not receive the option for installments, just one lump sum. It seems it varied by person
There is no choice between lump sum and installments!
"You had a choice to make in the waiver package as to lump or installments. Man, for employees of a reading based company, some of my ex-teammates have trouble with it !"
I have yet to receive anything from the company to read. HR (who won't give me any information on the phone or email, says "it's in the mail."
I would love to have something to read, just to know what's going on.

Wrong. There is different between severance and final pay.
I received mine as a lump sum. There was no option for smaller installments. At least that's what happened in my case.
No, it's to be apportioned out weekly based on the number of years you've worked. Which is a shame because when they go under, if you haven't received all your payments, you won't get them.
