Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Hourly employees

I hope all the hourly employees made the right decision about volunteering to eliminate their job or staying in Greenville.

Those that decided to stay will not get the same package offered to the volunteers when forced to leave.

The writing is on the wall. Hopefully you are reading the walls.

Sounds like original poster is hoping his decision is the right one. Do you really think he or she is just concerned about those that did not take the severance package. Some of those not taking it may survive and turn out good for them. A few weeks pay difference should not matter.

You have to leave GE to find better walls to read. It's really hit or miss though if you do it on your own. Hit up your linkedin network.

I made the right decision to leave the best decision I made it feels so great knowing I don’t have to work under these unknown conditions.

To bad they won’t offer a package in GE Power Across the board for people to walk. I’m sure many in GE Power would be more than glad to leave and start over.

Most of the walls I find don’t have writing and only paint chips.

The other day though I did find a wall with writing in the restroom near the paint department and it said “For A Good Time Call” but there were only 6 digits to the phone number.

How do I find better walls to read?

Our so-called leaders still don’t get it. They are THE problem but they still think they’re the solution.
