Don't worry silly billy and his vice princesses have received theirs, the form 4 has been filed with the sec.
Just got word today that bonuses are coming these next two weeks but will be reduced by 69% to be able to pay new CFO salary + LTI. All joking aside, the bonuses will actually be in the form of 100% increase to OGIP values derived from our paradigm shifting NMR scientists...bow down you infidels!!
The navy always had a reply about bonuses. The only bonus you’re going to get is a 6 . . .
Growth in revenues, production and reserves have little to do with health of an E&P company. I could drill the crap out of Fayetteville and grow all of those measures. You better look at what a true owner (shareholder) would care about - cash returns esp relative to what you are putting into the ground. Equity market has voted on how good management is - why should they be rewarded with a large cash bonus on top of the millions they have in equity (and likely to get again this year) PLUS the huge cash salaries. I think you are arguing for your pocketbook.
Well, a large portion, if not the majority of the compensation for the exec level, is shares of stock. So their compensation has taken a beating through through the stock performance. I hope that makes you feel a little better. But remember, stock price is tied to where investors choose to put their money, which isn't always a direct reflection of how the company is performing financially. I hope that makes you feel a little better.
The company did a great job growing production, reserves and revenue in 2017. Those are critical components to the true health of an E&P companies finances and therefor a monetary bonus should and likely will be paid to employees for the 2017 year.
I think the stock price indicates otherwise. Bonuses at the exec level, esp. CEO, would be spitting in the face of shareholders.
Yes, seriously. The company actually performed quite well in 2017 all things considered.
Bonus? Really? I mean seriously??
Bonus = pink slip and LTI = no severance
