Still No Severance Pack - Or W2 Even

I was told what, two weeks ago now, that I would get my severance package and W2 "any day now" in the mail. After finally getting a hold of a live person in HR on the phone today, I was told "oh you should have received it by now." So they're going to mail out duplicates today. So they say.

Anyone else getting the runaround?

This is a bad place to get information. You realize ANYONE can post.

Had you chosen electronic delivery of W-2 you would have it by now. Bad decisions lead to bad outcomes. Demand that they send your severance materials again and get tracking number.

Hey everyone - I made the original post - just an update - still haven't received the re-mailed W2 or severance info or cobra stuff - sorry not sorry to those who think I'm "whining." I'm looking for info and until I get anything from the company, this appears to be the only place to get any.

Moron here....I won't go through it....I don't whine. I've lost jobs in the past. Brush myself off and move on to next thing. I hope you get past it.

"so much whinning...no wonder you lost your job" Really? you are a moron. have you lost your job. For those of us who were let go on the spot was a complete demoralizing experience. I am sure I speak for most of us who have been with the company for YEARS who have always gone way beyond of what was expected of us. I was a RM but was all over the store helping where I could. keeping the receiving room organized and the stock flowing out of the back. I spent many overnights helping with resets and restocking areas that needed to be restocked. I tried to simplify receiving so those who were working on the floor could get the promos out in a timely manner. I believe most of us RMs have done the work of six people on any given day. Now half of us are hanging out in the dark, can not get a straight answer from anybody. you send emails with questions and no body answers. you try and call and nobody answers. Severance packages are dropped on you doorstep, cobra packages are not received yet. and then I get a bill in the mail wanting 18.87 for the remainder of Feb. WELL where is my money. Mr. moron....I hope you don't have to go through what we are going through.

What, really, did you expect? It's blindingly obvious they don't give a damn about their employees, much less their ex-employees...

I received mine about a week after termination, and it took another week to receive the cobra information. I have never been the victim of a layoff before, but I would think they should have had all this information together to hand out at termination along with the last paychecks. It's not like they weren't preparing to do this in advance and didn't have time to get all the paperwork in order.
