@2ccc You are saying your life is bad because of Eddie? I am not saying anything positive or negative about Eddie, but aren't we each responsible for our own lives? I work for Sears and acknowledge I work for a shaky company right now but I don't blame Eddie for the fact I work there. I could go out and find another job. I choose to stay as I like what I do and find the pay appropriate for what I do. It's like if you feel you are in a bad relationship and don't walk away. Is that the other person's fault or your own for not valuing yourself enough to walk away if you are truly miserable?

We are all in this situation because of Eddie not this site, and the only fault is your own! I personally have found this site to be very informative and at times entertaining too!
@RXwNjyM-1hxs How has this site ruined your life? Maybe the one ruining peoples life its the company itself. We had 2 ASM's cut this year in the ends of January. Both of them never saw it coming. I already knew cuts were coming when they were mentioned here. I am grateful for this site because it awares you of where the company is heading to. An ASM that was in the company for over 30 years gets the boot and she was devasted. She never saw it happening and it really hurt her extremely she was in full blown tears.
Let me just add the SM said she was more than welcome to come back by rejecting her severance pay and taking an extreme pay cut to take the supervisor position. Never came back so for you to say this site makes Sears workers miserable its just plain delusional its all Sears fault the company just feels like pure crap.

@ihxs Don't let the meanies get to you! It really is sad when people who don't even work for the company come on here and are miserable. Just do what you do as you are spreading good karma. That's what people don't understand today. No matter what the situation....if you are good to others and do the best you can....there is someone watching out for you. Fake or not this site has been nothing but I just want to ruin your life. There are people who surprisingly give it their all for this company. Who bust their behinds and enjoy working for this company. In our store we have years of 35, 30, 28, 23 and they have been here that long because they like to work retail and work for this company.. Just go ahead and spread whatever lies you want.

If Sears was declaring BK, it would have been leaked to the media by now.
Spin Kmart off into what? An how would that even work. Spinoff would require investment to split the two companies apart. Money SHLD doesn't have. No one externally is stupid enough to "invest" in that.
It could be anything, it could be nothing. Roughly 50% of these rumors are true, the other 50% are false.
One person is saying Kmart will be spun off and the other says Sears Holdings will go bankrupt. I am not sure if either of those events will happen, and as for bankruptcy, Eddie has a way of delaying the inevitable. Analysts say that SHC may sputter on through 2018, after that, who knows?
I think it's just the usual layoffs and/or store closures. With this company anymore it's no longer "big news". It's sad news, but certainly not "breaking news". After a while working here, you grow to expect it. It's standard operating procedure to go through another round of layoffs and closures every few weeks.

Speaking of good news, I get a kick out of the SHC "Great News" emails...like "Kenmore was rated #1 by a leading consumer magazine for 2017". Okay, big deal. Is it saving the company? No. Is it saving our jobs? No. Is it increasing our pay or our job satisfaction? No.
