Got to admit JF has become a better communicator since the first (laughing) all hands. But i believe he is the same person he has always been. He could not wait to get out on the road around the globe to stroke his ego, very much like Jeff. Based on the state of the company he should be hunkering down solving issues. But like CNBC analyst said it is just more success theater. JF seems to throw ideas out to media and then listens to all the feedback to make a decision. I hope this works as i am an employee and stock holder that did not see issues do to all the lies.
JF to me seems to listen to much to HR and finance. This business about changing the culture is taking way to much resources and will not change anything. Culture evolves based on many things but mainly the success of the company. Has anyone seen any transparency, integrity that they can share. I have seen just the opposite. Do they tell us about layoffs? No they seem to hide them with excuse of protecting employees privacy. Couldn't they tell us the numbers and/or groups that would be transparent.
Anyone paying attention should realize that GE is in a crisis. They have always appeared to look for the easy way to make a buck. Selling manufacturing companies like appliances and now transportation because its to hard of work for the lower margins.
Now they want to focus on software. Digital is ripe for failure. They can't compete on the scale they want to and are way overstaffed at 25000 employees. They could cut 25% without missing a beat. Also on the time and money on the horizontal effort will not work. What do you think?
