A lot of people lost jobs in the last two weeks. A few branches are already affected. This is just the beginning. Nobody knows the criteria of selecting who remains and who doesn't. There is an immense budget cut. Some will be affected. Broadcom bid will increase with the cost of increasing Q layoffs, in order to make the offer more appealing for negotiation. SD, best of luck!

I am the OP replying to those who are claiming that this is a lie. I am just asking. Are you researching the news in detail? The recent layoffs are a fact. Just like 2015 was.
If this is bogus why this topic exists anyway? And why is everyone stressing? Common sense.
It's unrealistic to say that everyone will lose jobs. But it's realistic to know that if Broadcom wins the way it's doing business is by reducing staff. Broadcom's words, not mine.
A few have been asked to leave recently, that is True.
Is the OP from CNN because he’s lying biggly.
Fake News
All I can say is that Q is a great company. The fact that there are changes it's based on the fact that it's trapped in negotiations that are beyond control for several reasons.
My advice? It does not matter which branches! Do your best, don't give up unless it's the last resort, and have faith that everything will get fixed.
The ones that got affected are not so needed, but in the same time they are...anyway.
Hiring freeze was already announced to the certain teams. Those teams will be affected and will be gone away. Those that are still hiring are safe period
What? Per qualcomm webpage, they are hiring. Are you kidding ?
What branches departments groups were affected? Some details would be nice?
