Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Estimates Layoff Timeline

I don't think any packages have been given out yet, except maybe PIPS.

Here is why in my estimate based on public info:

1) The proxy voting has to complete either in Qualcomm's favor or Broadcom 's favor.

2) The annual shareholders meeting will most likely move 30 days. I expect an announcement a week early, so maybe early next week.

3) This puts the critical proxy date at around April 6th.

4) I expect the first packages to go out the following week.

5) Best of luck to all

Keep in mind there’s a sixty day warn notice requirement. They can have the lay-off defined by the share holder’s meeting, but not done.

As @bqk said, the announcement has already been done. What further announcement do you think we will get? Exact layoff numbers? Sorry, that is not going to happen.

OP here

@bqk

That's another possibility. They may want to go into the proxy with heads in hand.

Nobody knows for sure.

Why do you think item 1 is true? Qcom has already announced 1B in cost cutting, my take is that they will want to show they are serious and have the layoff before the vote in an effort to affect the vote.
