I worked at Intel for 35 years and every year the CEO (whoever it was at the time) and the upper management would say, year after year, that Intel made record quarterly profits. But in the same breath, they would say that there is little money for raises, and that the profit sharing contribution will be less, and that my health care costs are going up, and that the bonuses and RSU grants will be smaller. But I was expected to work harder next year and pull in schedules and cancel my vacation time while they spend billions buying back Intel stock.
So all you RCGs who think I am some old fart whining and moaning and jobless, just know that I don’t HAVE to work anymore. I took retirement, and the cart full of money from the 2015 VSP. The money works for me now. I don’t have to get up every weekday morning to drive in rush hour traffic for 2 hours and do the same after work. I don’t have put up with BK’s b---s--- policies and HR’s childish ethics yearly classes requirements. I don’t have to deal with a bunch of foreign H1B visas holders who cannot write an email in comprehensible English any better than my 9 year old 4th grader, and who cannot drive or park a car properly, and who could not engineer their way out of a paper bag. I don’t have to go to endless meetings to watch PowerPoint presentations given by a bunch of PhD RCGs who cannot speak intelligibly. Each year I worked at Intel, these problems got worse. So glad I left that Hunger Games environment.
So all you RCG's, keep working until you drop. It's nice to know that you are all funding my Social Security checks.
