Rumor about OT

I heard overtime is going away for you hourly losers. Thank heavens because you guys were making too much money , and the salaried positions deserve more.

Quit tearing up your equipment. And save the repair costs.

Well when you are trying to scrape up money to buy parts needed to do repairs I can see why we would not have OT.

This person must have not been around during furloughs, layoffs and no matching 401k. No OT is hardly the worst thing they can do to us. Just keep your head down and get back to work

Oilfield with no OT, yeah right. Hard to be on call and catch one job and be off the rest of the week. I guess they gonna hire a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift on rig/job locations.

This must be that fake news i keep hearing about.

They may stop allowing you to work OT, but be very clear - if you are required to work OT they must pay you.

Only way to stop it is to send you home when you hit 40hrs. I agree this s---s as when they changed some folks from salary to hourly they actually figured in a certain percentage of OT hours to arrive at your new hourly rate.

I heard a similar rumour, probably safe to say OT is going away. It stinks but is better than the alternatives. Probably an effective cost saving measure.
