Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

HPE moving app support to Wipro

HPE is in the process of moving L4/ RBE application support work from DXC to Wipro. The first batch of apps (there about 141 total on the list, including major supply chain / order management apps) will start moving 31 Mar to Wipro. Couple that with HPE's Single ERP initiative, which mostly with Deloitte. Expect to see major layoffs for those supporting HPE applications.

I am the OP of this thread. The transition has started with wave 1 of the applications being turned over to Wipro today. There will be three more waves over the next month or two. For some app sit is L4 support only, others RBE, and others all three. Just depends on what HPE wants to do.

Seeing where this is headed overall, I went to my manager and asked to be put on the layoff list. I am in the US - we don't ask for voluntary reductions here. You just find out on Thursday and Friday is your last day. So I thought I would at least try to put my name on the list, so I could leave with some severance.

Supposedly there are no layoff plans in my team, according to my manager, but if the work has moved to Wipro, how long will DXC keep us? My manager said there is plenty of work in other areas, for other clients, to which we could move.

So, alas, I will most likely just quit when I find a new spot. I don't know anyone with half a brain that is isn't looking for another position outside of DXC. Oh well...

In EMEA, any staff doing 'mostly' L4 work for HPE will presumably transfer to WiPro under the TUPE directive.

That's what you get for playing dirty with Meg Mr Lawrie. Whatever happened to honor amongst theives? If you were p!55ed off about the 7% decline in revenues, get ready to be really annoyed! :-) Oh yes and by the way, I hear that Shell just have terminated one of their major agreements.
