WARN - Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act

Does anyone know if Barnes has violated this Act ? I'm not a lawyer, but it says that companies must notify their employees 60 days prior to layoffs of more than 500 employees, and by my calculations Barnes just laid off at least 2400 employees (over 600 stores with average of 4 employees laid off each store). So any legal advice for these employees who just showed up at work and lost their jobs with no notice at all ? How about California, it would seem that they are covered by this notification act ? If anyone has any information on this, let me know. Thanks.

No violation.

It's only if the mass layoffs are in the same employment location (in this case the individual stores). It's my understanding that a few employees in each store does not apply under WARN.
