Medical benefits

Does anyone know how long our medical is good for or has it expired already?

If you elect to continue w/the subsidized COBRA coverage, any issues during the days you were 'off' will be retroactively covered (per HR), and when B&N stops subsidizing, that opens up the 'special enrollment' period to get regular nsurance, so you don't have to keep the high-priced, but pretty good, insurance from UHC. Unfortunately, here in TX, UHC doesn't offer an individual plan in my zip code, so I'll have to switch.

You were covered through 2/17.

In the package I received, it states that coverage ended on 2/17 but you can elect to have the same subsidizing rate through the severance period.

I was told that I would receive 1 weeks worth of pay for every year that I worked and that my benefits would run thru my last pay check which by my calculations would be the 2nd week in june. I am thinking everybody is getting something different or WE HAVE ALL BEEN LIED TO. which is probable the latter I am thinking at this point cause you can't get anyone to give you a straight answer. I was on vacation when I found out via a phone call on Monday. I have been in limbo every since.

That shouldn't be true ... the 2 "pay in lieu of notice" checks each had medical benefit deductions, so at least we should be covered through February, it would seem. Still haven't gotten my package, though.
