My father always say to have six month emergency fund in place to cover basic expenses in the event of emergency. This is emergency. Also I think time is now go update CV for the interviews.

I was verbally offered by Qualcomm in Jan and Have'nt received the offer letter yet.
Manager is saying due to Qualcomm BroadComm thing , the offer letter is on Hold as of now and the don't know the exact timelines when they will be getting the internal approvals to proceed with the offer letter.
Anybody has some idea , when this thing is gona resolve.

A snap hiring freeze is emblematic of bad planning and chaotic management. If we didn't need those people, why were reqs open? And if we did need them why are the reqs frozen? The problem is incompetent leadership.
I would cancel signed offer if you can get your old job back. There may be other opportunities once Broadcom complete the acquisition.
Just hope they lay off the sad, poorly educated teams that came up with the sh!tty commercials (a chicken, right? a friggin' chicken!???) and the sad a$$ re-branding crap! re-branding? Hey! let's copy the Google and Microsoft font. it looks so 'comforting'. whatever! poor and sad!
How top are we talking about? C level ? SVP ? VP ? SR DIR ? ... Does that even come close to someone's multi million bonus and stock ? Or this is going to target folks who dont have anyone protecting them ?

Same old strategy - hiring freeze , travel cut , move everything to India (geoshifting...) just like 2015. What is our growth plan other than 5G ? Why do we need to keep so much cash ? While other company innovate - we geoshift ... We can't even think of any innovative way to do reduce cost .... sigh! Why are we cutting so much cost while some folks at the top get so much bonus and stock? ... .. . Something doesn't make sense even to an ordinary people ....
All BUs are preparing "specific" plan over the next few weeks...
