I wish they would start tomorrow. I hate the thought of waiting 10 weeks to figure out if I need a new job or not. They shouldn’t have said anything like that. Just put many in a constant state of worry.

What was the reasoning behind the two getting "axed? Layoff or firing due to performance? Any word if they got severance?
Yeah those two that got let go yesterday is just the start. Look for more to be axed gradually due to "poor performance" or whatever excuse can be found. Couple that with post-bonus attrition and there will be fewer layoffs/forced retirements (aka severance packages) the company will have to deal with.

You don’t have to wait to see if you need a new job ... you do , if you have similar options .
If your in a situation where any job would be a pay step down; I’d be networking like an SOB — you should anyway - . I know field has its own challenges ; especially in Fayetteville where there aren’t many options in oil and gas ; but good luck.but probably a litttle better situation than Houston
If your in Houston get out if and when you can .. I saw on another post expect another 1/2 gone .. I tend to agree !
And I know I've lost any hope for a future at SWN, morale is down and it shows on many faces.
