Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Sears now selling high end luxury menswear

So I was filling in at mpu yesterday and a guy pulls up in a Tesla model S and I’m like wow nice car and thinking what are you getting here.

So I get his order and it’s shirts, men’s dress shirts and I’m like WTF. So I’m checking them out and they have French cuffs and everything and I’m like omg. The brand was Hawes and Curtis.

So I’m getting the guy to show me his model s and I’m like “I didn’t know we sold these” and he tells me, “yeah for awhile sears has been a sh-- store but they have really been changing, an exec there I do business with told me they were adding all kinds of high end merchandise. These shirts are great, well priced and extremely hard to find.” He tells me that I should just “watch and see” and that I’m going to be shocked by the other things we are going to be selling and then he says “Sears, where America shops again? Maybe.” Then he takes off. When I got home I searched sears.com and there they were:

http://www.sears.com/men-s-herringbone-dress-shirt/p-017VA94974912P?selectedFilters=Fabrication%7CWoven%5EOccasion%7CDresswear&sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

A $99 shirt, at sears, can you believe it? And this guy had like 6 of them. Something is definitely changing.

The only thing changing is that corporate trolls have picked up their game....

How many $99 high end shirts would it take to pay off 4 billion in debt? I'll let you do the math.

My question is: how did he see the guy drive up if he was in the men's department working?

Have you never been on sears.com before? You sound as dumb as the members. We don't sell these, yes they are on our web site but look at who sells them it's a marketplace item not sold by Sears!

I followed the link the OP is right! You’re the crock of sh-- @-don, but if the link is so obvious what is your sick motivation?

Sears is selling whatever they can get on credit. Anyone dumb enough or desperate enough to ship Sears product on credit will "sell" their products to Sears.

Due to this major retail downturn, lots of suppliers are so desperate just to make a sale, to improve their position on paper for the banks, that they'll even send Sears product on credit.

This is what peons don't understand and why they should stick to greeting customers and stay out of the big business conversation.
