Layoffs started Monday morning. All lower level management which includes receiving,toys and games, Cashiering and nook departments whether full time or part time. Checks were cut and waiting for payment of the week as well as vacation. An exit package is in the mail and will arrive Monday the 19th.
The writing has been on the wall for months. Lots of cut hour and major coupons to get people in the store. I believe their refusal to price match turned off many customers.
If they don’t get their act together some store closings will probably be in the future. Very sad.
