Sears was in dying malls so I closed a lot of stores. I sold Craftsman to save the company. Even though it was one of the best things about Sears. I know people love Sears and Kmart but I don't give a sh-- because I'm going to close it. I loan Sears money at high interest rates to line my own pockets but then pretend that I'm actually trying to save the company. I really care about you people and our employees.

He kept two chain stores going that would have crashed and burned years ago. One was buried in heavy debt and lead by incompetents for decades. The other a glorified junk store that had already gone bakrupt once.
If anybody didn't realize that, and the fact he was a hedge fund guy, what else can I say?
