How can the economy be "Booming!"? Not just us, read "Latest posts" for a wake up call. I'm not one to believe everything a talking head tells me or "official govt. statistic." I see friends, co-workers, relatives losing their jobs in all sorts of industries, and now my company too.
No, I don't think the economy is "Booming"
I think it's in the tank and getting worse.
I think it depends on what you do. In my line of work (not retail anymore, thank goodness) we have a difficult time hiring good people, and I know our competition does as well. College degree (major irrelevant), ability to speak and write good business English, interest in the field, and pays better than retail with flex hours/no weekends. Seems like it would be easy to find people but not so much
Retail is not a growth area.
