b&N. No warning. A company that preaches empathy as a core value

Went to work at 7am so management could meet. Apparently it was to discuss the fact that myself and the other head cashier were to be laid off. Immediately!

Once the severance period ends we can come back as part time. My SM told me they would have chosen other people to go before me but the legal team said it had to be whoever was in the positions. Not that part time helps me, since I fought for over a year to be full time so I could have health insurance
