As an employee for over 17 years, I saw the writing on the wall. If you are a BST, get ready to jump. Cloud is all they are selling. No on premise option. Customers need options. His company is so arrogant that they are ok with losing talent. Even paying them to leave. Well I took mine and am glad to start competing with them. Sales people: you better get better at your craft cause there is change coming and you will be competing with a qualified and hungry adversary. Roll up your sleeves and pack your lunch cause I’m getting ready to bury you in small business solutions

I agree. Windstream does not want or desire certified business techs. 4 years ago they wanted us to be certified in every way possible and suggest us to get CISCO certifications to help customers with networks issues when voice and data had to be converged together and customer had No IT person We did it all for them. But now. Looks like there is no room for techs like that in windstreams future. I’m sorry but I don’t see all business customers throwing away a 2 year old mitel or shoretel or allworx out the window when they spent money to buy it out right and we want support it. I have seen some old systems in many business that are still in use. Trust me a customer that spends thousands of dollars for a system he or she isn’t going to set it aside. Like most of us drive to the wheels fall off. Soon it will be just CST. OUT On a site call win tech in some other state be on hold for 45 min. Put your laptop on the on the customers network and the win tech will login your laptop. Don’t need to be certified to do that. The new rebrand. Lol

Anyone who is let go will loom back I’m six months and be damn glad they are no longer with WIN.

Good people are being let go because the company is in dire straights.

I have seen both good and bad employees let go. The few that I know and Have worked with,who would go above and beyond, it surprised me they were let go.. In my opinion they just "toss a dart" and see who it lands on. Seems to be no rhyme or resoning behind the choices they have made.

HR only knows how good someone looks on paper. You may say that a good employee was let go, but on paper the turd employee might have looked better. We are only e #’s.

Y'all make up your mind, the general consensus among CEO/HR wannabe's are that all the layoffs are to get rid of incompetent employees.

I have seen good techs let go while absolute turds remain, but I have also seen awful employees let go so there is no rhyme or reason.

A good manager in the ERC was let go last year but one of the managers that was not let go is an absolute moron and has literally no basic computer skills. Good lord, what an awful hire that was.

The reason they keep the incompetent is because anyone with any sense decided to leave this sinking ship! The ship is being led by incompetent leadership, therefore they do not understand to attract and retain good people does not exist at this company! Change the leadership you change the direction...but my thoughts are it is way too late!

I think this was a reference to us selling UCaaS and not a PBX or ALLWORX. They need a transitional plan not a hard move. What's next NO MORE POTS or DSL?
