Yeah, looks like BS is losing the race to Fatso. This will only hasten Intel's demise as MR is a proven phony and failure both at Qcom and Intel.

MR has half the company working for him. The board brought him in, assuaged his ego by calling him the CEO (eh Engg officer eh), half the MCM are indians and his pals. Unless BS has good board connections not a chance! MR is yet to deliver anything.... every product that is being delivered was planned and managed before MR. He staked his “execution prowess“ on GLV and Failed miserably! The board doesn‘t care! There are no known outsiders to replace BK. Rich Templeton from TI who retired as the CEO after a fantastic 14 year run could be an option. A proven one!

@1wuo. I disagree that MR is sharp, he's just a good talker.

I think Murthy has the inside track. He is very sharp, not a excel Guru. Plus you take a look at Google Master Card, Microsft and many other Provencal red neck hiring is changing. You need to be globally aware i.e, speak more than 7/10 of a language.

I think k at this point any of the names mentioned would be a cut above current administration.

@idzu - As a former insider now on the outside, I would agree with you. So I ask this with genuine curiosity - what has NS specifically driven in CCG and more importantly, DCG, that has made a visible difference in his tenure? And are they shifting to more product features as a way to mitigate the ongoing TMG debacle?

BS has a good past record but might be too old to have enough time for grooming. Mr has been showing results too - product delays seem to a thing of past now. But best candidate for me is NS. He has done a great job in CCG and now DCG is getting better too. He is usually full of energy as opposed to BK. I hope BK doesn't manage to push him out as well like he did with all his potential rivals.

Age 57. I think the board should favor him. His discipline seems superior to all others in c suite. Has a shot.
